Twilio Autopilot End of Life Help
In August 2022, Twilio made the announcement of the end of life for their product, Autopilot. Autopilot was released as Twilio’s conversational AI platform, with support for voice, SMS, chat and other platforms such as Amazon Alexa. The product will officially shut down on August 25, 2023. After this date, Autopilot APIs will no longer function, and starting February 25, 2023, Customer Support will no longer respond to new Autopilot-related requests.
How is my system affected?
Autopilot has a variety of capabilities through features such as natural language detection, intelligent routing, and machine learning. Twilio will not have a single replacement product for all of these AI features. As a result, you’ll need to implement third-party tools like Google Cloud Dialogflow CX connector, to maintain the functionality your current system has. Twilio’s official recommendations for impacted customers are available here, but this information doesn’t provide the full picture for every customer.
